Biography

Jay Bartlett is an international evangelist. Born in New York and raised in South Florida, Jay committed his life to the Lord Jesus Christ as a teenager after reading a booklet by the Dr. Billy Graham and soon surrendered to God's call to enter the gospel ministry. Jay has also been ordained as a minister by a fellowship of believers out of Fresno, California.

Education

Upon answering the call of God, Jay prepared initially for ministry, by attending the University of the Cumberlands, studying Sacred Scripture, philosophy, and the biblical languages. He is a graduate of the Criswell College in Dallas, Texas where he received his degree in Biblical Studies. Jay also received additional training from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Open Air Evangelist

For twenty years Jay has traveled the globe pursing the call that God had placed upon his life as a teenager to publicly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has proclaimed the gospel on the streets and in open air public meetings all over North America and the world resulting in thousands of conversions to Christ.

Radio and Television Appearances

Jay has appeared on a number of radio and television programs. For many years, Jay hosted a popular live radio talk show which aired throughout the world reaching countless listeners with the message of the cross of Jesus. Several television networks have also sought to produce documentaries about his work, including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

World Traveler

For more then two decades Jay has had the high honor of being invited to speak at educational institutions and various evangelistic gatherings around the world. He has traveled throughout Western Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America, off the coast of South America, and the Caribbean proclaiming the good news of Jesus.

In his travels he has endured a physical attack in front of the Notre Dame in Paris, being detained in Nigeria, performed public exorcisms in Trinidad, battled voodoo priests in Haiti, ministered in the infamous De Wallen district of Amsterdam where human trafficking, prostitution, and drug trafficking is prevalent, encountered Hindu spirits in Bangkok, was threatened at a Nation of Islam conference in America, survived a prison riot in Africa, ministered in St. Peter's Cathedral in the Vatican City, received angelic assistance in London, proclaimed Christ in the midst of tens of thousands on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras, confronted Nazi spiritual forces in Germany, shared the gospel in Rasta bars in Jamaica, experienced a pistol threat in the inner-city of Dallas, unjustly arrested, jailed and interrogated by armed animists in the Republic of Benin.

Exorcist

God called Jay soon after his conversion to Christ to a ministry of casting out of demons. Jay has conducted numerous private and public exorcisms throughout the world resulting in hundreds of free individuals. This ministry of exorcism has come with a cost as Jay has endured a number of horrific events, including, numerous death threats, overseas detention, actual attempts on his life, and demonic assaults.

Healing Ministry

Though not specifically gifted in the area of healing, Jay and his wife have, nevertheless, have witnessed hurting individuals being healed of demonic dumbness, of being paralyzed by demonic powers, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, arthritis, mental illness, sexual dysfunctions, sexual transmitted diseases, rashes, addictions, emotional pain, cysts, bleeding problems, depression, epilepsy, dissociation, demonic muteness, demonic blindness and severe physical pains.

Personal Life

Though Jay stays busy with the evangelistic and exorcism ministry he does enjoy being with his precious wife, family, and friends. He enjoys white water canoeing, golfing, sailing, playing chess, tennis, jet skiing, traveling, and biking. Jay and his family are members of the International Salvation Army.
